Dear SUHSD Board of Education,
My name is [REDACTED] and I am a 9th grader at TIDE Academy. I chose to attend TIDE because of the close-knit community, small compass, and dual enrollment classes. I believe that TIDE should remain open because the upperclassmen here have already planted their seeds into this school and have grown a connection to this school and some freshmen have come to really like TIDE and its flourishing community. Many parents have chosen to send their sons or daughter to TIDE because they feel that it's a safe, small, productive school. There's a lot of kids that come with a happy attitude and feel welcomed with the idea of being accepted in this small and welcoming community. I would like to reiterate that TIDE should remain open because the community built would be completely destroyed. I urge the SUHSD Board to think of how incredibly difficult the thought of hearing TIDE close will be on all past, current, and future TIDE students.
