Dear SUSHD Board of Education,
Heyyyyy everyone!!!!.(good morning if it's 12pm-11:59pm if its 12am-11:59am good afternoon) I am [REDACTED]. I chose TIDE mainly because I am not the best in big schools. I get off topic very easily, and it was honestly open because it gives kids like me, who learn differently, a chance to have a true learning place.
So I am not the best with this, so if I make any mistakes, just tell me. Thank you beforehand for even reading it. To start, I won't be sending 100+ emails because that's not how I think we should keep TIDE open. I'll just tell you why I want TIDE to be open, and you can tell me where I am wrong so I can see it.
[REDACTED] Now at TIDE, it was one of the only places where I haven't been made fun of. It truly means a lot because of that. I don't know if you have kids or know any kids that are in special education [REDACTED], and it's hard to learn because of it, but something I know is that if I leave, other schools won't be as understanding. Teachers were understanding of what I have and helped me past it. They just help me with where to put my dots, something I never learned, but I learned it here. That's why it's so important.
Then this one might just be more selfish, but I want TIDE to be open because when I am grown and have my kids, I can tell them I went to TIDE and it was so fun. I made so many new people, and I was able to learn in new ways. That is one of the most important things. I don't know if you have kids; I don't yet, but I work with them. When their faces light up, it makes me feel happy, and that's what I want my kids to see at TIDE when I have them.
Besides that, even if TIDE closes, it will give me lessons on life, like how Mr. B told me, but more about how to learn and be able to do more even though everything I did. That's why TIDE is so important to me. That's truly why I think it should be open.
Lastly (I know I am all fancy now), I want it to stay open because I want TIDE to be a place where it's seen as one of the best schools for having open places or not having any fights like other schools have, maybe one a day. I want it to be a place where everyone is welcome. I want to be able to tell people I went to TIDE and it was so good. That's why.
