Dear SUHSD Board of Education,
My name is and I am a 9th grader at TIDE Academy. I chose to attend TIDE because
we get to take college classes and get credit for them. Another reason I came to TIDE was
because it's a small school and I don't have to worry about any drama. I believe that TIDE
should remain open because it's a good school and the teachers really care about the students.
Another reason is we get a lot of opportunities at TIDE. Even though this is my first year at
TIDE, it has already been good. Coming into TIDE I was nervous because I thought that
making friends was gonna be hard but it was easy because all the students at TIDE are nice.
All the teachers at TIDE are very supportive and understanding. If you guys do end up closing
down TIDE it's going to be very hard for not only the students, but the teachers as well
because they will lose their job. It's going to be hard moving to a new environment with more
students and a much bigger campus. TIDE is a very small school and that's why I like it
because you know everyone. I would like to reiterate that TIDE should remain open because
it's gonna be hard moving all over again.I urge the SUHSD Board to think of how incredibly
difficult the idea of hearing that TIDE may close will be on all past, current, and future TIDE
students.
